Every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Course. Proof of certification or deferral is required to be on your person while hunting.

  • Texas hunting licenses go on sale August 15th each year.

  • Resident hunting licenses are $25. Seniors (65 and older) $7 and youth hunting licenses are $7.

  • Non-resident Special 5-Day Special Hunting License is $48.

Dove Hunting in the North Texas zone can be a safe and fun activity for everyone if proper rules and regulations are followed. When accidents do happen it’s usually because dove hunters become to relaxed and not observant of their surrounding area. We at Jo Kreed Outdoors do not tolerate improper use of firearms, excessive drinking while operating a firearm, or firing your firearm in direction of other hunters. If the guide at any time deems you to be unsafe or a safety hazard to other hunters, you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. Dove hunters must strive to maintain the upmost responsibility and follow all safety precautions while in the field.
